How does Huqqs hear my music?
Huqqs uses your device's microphone and Apple's ShazamKit to identify songs playing nearby. ShazamKit generates a compact audio fingerprint on-device and sends it to Apple for matching — the raw audio itself is never recorded, stored, or transmitted by Huqqs.
Does Huqqs record or store my audio?
No. Audio is analyzed in real time for song identification and visual response, but it is not recorded, saved, or transmitted by Huqqs.
What changes with Pro?
Free gives you 10 curated stages and synced lyrics for 5 songs per week. Pro unlocks all 54+ stages, the dancing pet companion, unlimited lyrics, Smart Visuals, translation, and clean sharing. Pro is $4.99/month or $29.99/year (saves about 50%) and starts with a 14-day free trial — no payment info required.
What's the dancing pet?
The pet is a small animated companion that dances along with the song on top of whichever stage you picked. There are four families — blob, animal, spirit, and pixel — with nine pets to choose from. Tap to trigger a reaction, double-tap to cycle to the next pet, long-press to pick it up, and drag to reposition. The pet stays exactly where you leave it. Change or turn the pet off in Settings.
How many songs can I get lyrics for on the free plan?
Free includes synced lyrics for 5 distinct songs per week. The counter resets every Monday. Replaying a song you have already synced this week does not count against the quota — only new songs do. Pro removes the limit entirely.
Why aren't lyrics showing for this song?
Three common reasons: the song may not be recognized yet (give Huqqs a few seconds of clean audio), there may be no synced lyrics available for that track in our lyrics databases, or you may have reached the weekly 5-song quota on the free plan. Try Pro's 14-day trial if you want unlimited access.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Open Settings inside Huqqs and tap Restore Purchases. Restoration works across any device signed in with the same Apple ID that made the original purchase.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Subscriptions are managed by Apple through your Apple ID. Cancel any time at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions on your device. Refunds are handled by Apple per their standard policy; Huqqs does not issue refunds directly.
Which devices are supported?
Huqqs requires iOS 17 or later and works on iPhone and iPad. An internet connection is needed for song identification and lyrics retrieval.
