Need a hand?
Everything you need to get the most out of Huqqs — no runaround, no hold music.
How does Huqqs hear my music?
Huqqs uses your device's microphone and Apple's ShazamKit to identify songs playing nearby. ShazamKit generates a compact audio fingerprint on-device and sends it to Apple for matching. Separately, Huqqs may send a short audio sample to its own servers to keep lyrics in sync — it is never stored or shared.
Does Huqqs record or store audio?
Huqqs never stores audio. Audio is analyzed in real time for song identification and visual response, and a short sample may be sent to Huqqs' own servers to keep lyrics in sync — it is never stored or shared. See the privacy policy for details.
Is Huqqs free?
Yes. During early access, every feature is free — every stage, every pet, unlimited lyrics, translation, Smart Visuals, and the dancing pet. No account required.
Subscription pricing will arrive in a future update. Early users will get a heads-up before anything changes.
What's the dancing pet?
A small animated companion that dances along with the song on top of whichever stage you picked. A few families — blob, animal, spirit, pixel — and we keep adding more.
Tap to trigger a reaction, double-tap to cycle pets, long-press to pick up, drag to reposition. It stays exactly where you leave it. Change or turn it off in Settings.
Why aren't lyrics showing?
Two usual reasons: the song may not be recognized yet (give Huqqs a few seconds of clean audio), or there may be no synced lyrics available for that track. Try a different song to confirm.
Supported devices?
iOS 17 or later, on iPhone and iPad — and Apple Silicon Macs, where Huqqs runs as an iPhone & iPad app on Mac. An internet connection is needed for song identification and lyrics retrieval.
